New Online First-Year Russian Language Course
For the first time, UT’s Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies will be offering an online first-year Russian language course in the summer semester of 2014.
This course will involve a "virtual classroom" that is ideal for language learning and allows student to participate from anywhere they have a good internet connection. Using online technologies, students will be able to work in small groups and pairs, or as a class, and they will be able to receive individualized attention and instructor contact, just as they would in a normal language class.
The course aims to help students complete the first-year level of Russian in a 10-week summer course through a combination of proficiency-based communicative language instruction, which includes a basic introduction to Russian culture.
