Kudos to Thaddeus Kull, Ciarán Dean-Jones, Yoon Hoo Lee, and Nathan Carmichael! They were recently inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society!

Thaddeus was elected to the honor society last academic year. He is a Classics major with an Economics minor, and is also part of Plan I Honors. During 2013, Thad has served as the president of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Following graduation in May, he'll teach high-school math in Arkansas for at least two years as an employee of Teach for America.

The remaining students were elected to Phi Beta Kappa this year and were inducted in December.

Ciarán is a junior with a triple major in Classics, Plan II, and History. He enjoys talking about the American Revolution and the Civil War before warm fires. He aspires to a Stoic life of philosophical retirement.

Yoon is a senior majoring in Plan II Honors and Latin, with a minor in Government. She is currently writing her Plan II thesis on the topic of female leadership. She will be focusing on President Park Geun-hye of South Korea and other female leaders in the world such as Mary Robinson and Indira Gandhi. She plans to attend law school after graduation.

Nathan is a third year student pursuing Classical Archaeology, Classics, and Anthropology. In addition, he works at the Harry Ransom Center in the photography archives. He studied abroad in Italy in 2012, participated in the Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program, and completed the Intensive Greek Program here at UT. Ultimately, he desires a lifelong career in academia, with a focus on Roman archaeology.

Congratulations, all!
