Dr. Ken-Hou Lin Wins ASA Best Article Award

Congratulations to Professor Ken-Hou Lin for being selected to receive the Best Article Award from the Inequality, Poverty, and Mobility Section of the American Sociological Association for his outstanding article "Financialization and US Income Inequality, 1970-2008." He will be attending the ASA meetings in San Francisco in August to receive his award.
Co-written with Professor Donald Tomaskovic-Devey of UMass-Amherst, the article by Professor Lin - who is also a Faculty Research Associate of the Population Research Center at UT Austin - focuses on US finance industries and examines the connection between the financialization of the US economy and rising income inequality. His work has appeared in the American Journal of Sociology, American Sociological Review, and Social Science Research.
