Natalie ButlerNatalie is a 4th year Plan II Honors, Government, and Communication Studies major from Tempe, Arizona. She is a 3rd generation Longhorn, and an avid UT Football fan.
Since her freshman year, Natalie has been involved in Student Government, serving as a Longhorn Legislative Aide, Agency Director, Executive Director on the Student Government Executive Board, and just finished her term as a University-Wide Representative and chair of the legislative policy committee. She is excited to serve as the Student Body President for the 2011-2012 Administration.
Natalie and her Vice-President, Ashley Baker, have a platform of goals they will work to achieve in their time in office. They hope to get students more involved in the budget processes on campus, improve relationships with student organizations, work to make transportation easier, keep campus safe, prioritize health and wellness, and make sure UT is equitable for all students.
Natalie is a member of Orange Jackets and serves as a peer advisor in Plan II. She is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Friar Society. Natalie is passionate about service and civic engagement, and she wrote her Plan II Senior thesis about high school government classes and how they impact the way young people view voting and civic participation. She plans to graduate in May 2012, and then hopes to attend Law School before pursuing a career in education policy and law.
