Message from Dr. Vincent

Photo of Dr. Gregory J. VincentWelcome to DDCE@UT, the new newsletter for the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at The University of Texas at Austin. Through the stories in each month’s newsletter, we want to show you how the university and DDCE are making a difference. We are reaching out to communities underrepresented at the university and making UT more intellectually and culturally diverse. By doing so, we’re making an impact on how people view diversity and think about community engagement.

In our inaugural issue, we’re focusing on UT students who are models for the university’s mantra, “What Starts Here Changes the World.” We couldn’t be happier to have these students in our university community. They are great examples of the university’s core value of Responsibility, serving as catalysts for positive change in Texas and beyond.

With best wishes,

Dr. Gregory J. Vincent
Vice President for Diversity and Community Engagement
W.K. Kellogg Professor in Community College Leadership
Professor of Law
