Dr. Janice Leoshko
Art History: Asian Art
Prior to joining the faculty in 1993 at The University, Associate Professor Leoshko worked at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for seven years as the Associate Curator of Indian and Southeast Asian Art. Various projects with which she was involved included co-curating the international loan exhibition "Romance of the Taj Mahal." She received her Ph.D. from Ohio State University, focusing on the Buddhist art at Bodhgaya, believed to be the place of the Buddha's enlightenment. Her most recent book, entitled "Sacred Traces: British Explorations of Buddhism in South Asia," will be published in early 2003 by Ashgate Pubishing. London.
