Hair to There
Sonya Clark's artistic practice combines textiles with unexpected objects such as hair, combs, beads, and braided toyo straw to explore narratives related to African identity, material history and heritage. Her work is in the public collections of such institutions as The Montreal Museum of Decorative Arts, Canada, The Cranbrook Art Museum, Michigan, and the Musees d'Angers, France.
