Canvas Status Update
Some users seeing page errors for modules and quizzes - Resolved
At 9:30 PM MST our Product and Engineering Team deployed a fix that resolved the issue that caused some users to experience a page error when trying to access modules or while accessing a quiz that required an access code.

We sincerely apologize for the trouble this has caused for users at your institution.

Some users seeing page errors for modules and quizzes.

The production release this morning, Saturday, August 29th, resulted in some users running into page errors with Quiz and Module pages:

The page errors are appearing for any quizzes which require access codes.  For these quizzes, when you click on their title within the course, it takes you directly to the Access Code entry page.  Entering the access code/password results in a Page Error message.

The Module Page errors have been sporadic for some students, but are not appearing for other users on their course Modules pages.  Clicking on any course with Modules listed as the home page, or clicking on the Modules link for a course, will result in a Page Error message.

Our engineers were made aware of both of these issues and their impact early this afternoon (12:00 pm MT) and have been actively working to address these changes from the release.  Our Status Page was updated, but we wanted to make you aware as a fix will take a bit longer to test and deploy.  We will provide an update here and on the status page as further information is made available.

We sincerely apologize for the trouble this is causing for users at your institution; we are working closely with our engineering team to ensure this can be fixed as soon as possible .

RESOLVED: East Campus Cabling/Emergency Maintenance
Service Restored

Work is complete for the day.  There were no outages or disruptions to any services.

Contractors will be conducting emergency maintenance Saturday 8/29 from 8am-12pm on a segment of the university’s underground cable plant.  No outages are anticipated by the contractor.  ITS Cabling and Construction will be on site monitoring the project and UDC Operations will be monitoring systems.
