Issue dialing 911 from Polycom IP 670 VoIP sets

ITS staff continues to investigate. No further updates will be sent until the vendor resolves this issue.

ITS has discovered a problem dialing “911” from IP 670 VoIP sets. Callers will hear a fast busy tone.

Users with IP 670 can still dial either “911#” or “9911” to place an emergency call.

All other VoIP sets (IP 321,IP 335, IP 550 and IP 6000) can dial “911” and “9911” normally.

ITS staff is investigating. Updates will follow.

RESOLVED: Emergency maintenance on Resnet routers
Service Restored

This work has been completed.

Networking will be doing emergency maintenance on the Resnet routers starting at 6:00am on Thursday July 30th.
This maintenance has been coordinated with Housing and Food staff.

This maintenance will bring the redundant Resnet router back online. The maintenance will last approximately 30 minutes.
There may be up to a 15 minute outage for all Resnet networks, both wired and wireless, during this maintenance.

RESOLVED: Emergency disruptive maintenance - UTBackup
Service Restored

UTBackup emergency maintenance is complete, all services are restored and responding normally.

UTBackup will undergo emergency maintenance on Wednesday, July 29th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm so that faulty RAM modules may be replaced on one of the storage appliances.  Customers with data archives residing on the affected appliance will be unable to perform restorations, access stored data or backup new data during maintenance.  After maintenance, all UTBackup services will resume automatically.
