Making Calls Using Qwest Calling Cards
The University of Texas at Austin issues Qwest Calling Cards.
To call within the United States:
At the prompt, enter your 14-digit calling card number.
At the next prompt, dial area code + number.
To make an international call:
At the next prompt, dial 011 + country code + city code + telephone number.
To make a call originating outside the United States or Canada:
Call the appropriate Qwest Access number found in the Qwest Worldcard Dialing Guide. Access numbers can also be found at the Qwest International Dialing Guide website.
To call back to the U.S. dial area code + telephone number.
To call between or within international countries, dial 011 + country code + city code + telephone number.
University employees should not use university-issued Qwest calling cards from campus phones. Long distance calls originating from campus for official business should be made using a University authorization code.
