As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

UT Lists

Creating a Mailing List

To own a mailing list, you must have an email address in the domain. If you have an appropriate email address:

  1. Log on using your email address and mailing list password.

    Note: If you do not have a mailing list password, refer to Logging On to UT Lists.

  2. Click the Create List tab.

  3. Enter the name you want for the list. List names must follow these rules:

    • List names must be all lowercase.

    • The first character of the list name must be a letter or number.

    • The rest of the list name can contain letters, numbers, dashes (-), periods (.), plus signs (+), and underscores ( _ ).

    • The list name cannot have spaces.

  4. Choose the list type most appropriate for your type of list.

  5. Enter the subject of the list, and choose an appropriate topic for the list.

  6. Add a short description of your list, and then click Submit your creation request.
