Ordering New SmartVoice Service

Using one or both of the bulleted lists below, add the required information and send it in an email message to

Ordering an individual box. Use this for boxes that will be used by only one person.

  • Phone needing voice mail:

Ordering non-EID departmental boxes. Use this for boxes that will be used by more than one person or for high-turnover positions.

Ordering routing (menu) boxes. Use this for users who share a single phone number but wish to maintain separate mailboxes. You can order a routing box with a recorded menu listing up to 10 mailboxes for a single phone number.

  • Specify that you want a "Routing Box"

  • Name and EID for each user or specify "Non-EID"


  • Highlight and copy the lists from this page and paste them into the email.
  • Order as many boxes as you need in the same message.
  • Cc: the end user(s) when you send your email. When we reply with setup instructions, we’ll reply to all, so you won’t have to forward the reply.
  • Use customers’ preferred names. SmartVoice directory entries do not have to match the official UT directory.
  • Please use an email signature with your (the orderer’s) name and phone number, in case we have questions about your order.
