Splunk Training

Training for Splunk is led by an instructor in a virtual classroom. The virtual class schedule can be found on the Splunk Education site (all times listed on that site are for the Pacific Time Zone). Courses must be taken in the order they appear below.

Using Splunk 4

This four-hour course prepares users to get the most out of searching, navigating, alerting and reporting with Splunk. It's recommended for anyone in your organization who needs to look at IT data — from help and service desk staff to systems administrators and developers.

If you cannot attend the Using Splunk course, the Splunk website also hosts an equivalent 25-minute Web-based training session. To view the video, you will have to sign up for a Splunk Portal account.

Administrating Splunk 4

This eight-hour course prepares systems administrators to configure and manage Splunk servers. It covers configuring data inputs and data routing, user accounts and data management policy as well as basic troubleshooting and monitoring. It's recommended for systems administrators who will be in charge of ongoing management of Splunk. "Using Splunk" is a prerequisite.

Developing with Splunk 4

This one-day course provides in-depth training on Splunk Application development. You will learn how to build and use a Splunk App, how to theme and brand Splunk Web, create desktop and search views for your App, create Modules for your App, package an App, and how to access Splunk through the REST API. "Using Splunk" is a prerequisite for this course. Administrating Splunk course is also recommended.
