As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/19/2016.

Changing SmartVoice Mailbox Assignments

Using the bulleted list below, send the required information in an email to
smartvoice@austin.utexas.edu.

  • Phone number or mailbox number:
  • New owner’s name:
  • New owner’s EID:
  • Current owner’s name (if known):

If you want the box reassigned as a non-EID departmental mailbox, use the department name for the owner's name and "n/a" for the EID.

Tips

  • Highlight and copy the list from this page and paste it into the email.
  • Request changes to as many mailboxes as you need in the same message.
  • Cc: the end user(s) in the email. When we reply with setup instructions, we’ll reply to all, so you won’t have to forward the instructions.
  • Use customers’ preferred names. SmartVoice directory entries do not have to match the official UT directory.
  • Please use an email signature with your (the orderer’s) name and phone number, in case we have questions about your order.
