As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

Playing Voice Messages Automatically, Without the Message Envelope

When listening to messages on your phone, you may have to press 2 in order to play the message. You can have your messages play automatically instead. This option suppresses the message envelope. You can still play the message envelope manually by pressing 72.

  1. Open your preferences.

    • Windows desktop client: From the Edit menu, select Preferences.

    • Macintosh desktop client: From the FirstClass menu, select Preferences.

    • Web browser: Select the Preferences link.

  2. Go to the Voice preferences.

    • Desktop: Select the Messaging tab, then the Voice tab.

    • Web browser: Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

  3. Select the Auto play unread messages option, or make sure the option is set to Yes.
