As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

Everyone's Votes Counts - UT Austin's Learning Management System Evaluation

Mario Guerra, Instructional Technology Specialist, Center for Teaching & Learning and David Moss, ITS Project Manager, recently presented at the EDUCAUSE West/Southwest Regional Conference 2012.

“Everyone's Vote Counts: Building a Campus-Wide Consensus in a Learning Management System (LMS) Evaluation” provided an overview of the process used to identify campus-wide stakeholders, get them involved, keep them engaged and manage disparate interests to reach a consensus. A hundred conference attendees expressed interest in UT Austin's evaluation process, timeline and lessons learned, and a number mentioned similar evaluations are underway at their own institutions.

Identifying and meeting the Learning Management Systems (LMS) needs of students, faculty and staff is a challenge. The University's positive LMS evaluation experience is serving as a point-of-reference for those conducting similar initiatives. You cearn more about the LMS evaluation on the project website.
