As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

ITS partnered with University Operations in standing up Absolute Manage Mobile Device Management for a fleet of iPads, allowing automatic provisioning of device settings and retention of user defined preferences.

Biological Sciences Computer Support Facility

When the Biological Sciences needed to kick start software deployment with Absolute Manage the Desktop Systems Manaement (DSM) team jumped in to help update their server and instructed staff on software packaging/ deployment.

College of Pharmacy

Since sharing of Absolute Manage packages is not possible in the current version of Absolute Manage the DSM team instead offered to provide a software packaging tutorial, upgrade the Pharmacy Absolute Manage server to the most current version and resolve some lingering database issues.

  • Resolved duplicate records in database issue

University Development Office

Consolidating management of a heterogeneous computer fleet with a single tool was easily accomplished for the University Development Office by partnering with ITS for an Absolute Manage reconfiguration, upgrade and software packaging / deployment tutorial.

New install:

  • Installed Absolute Manage 6.0.1 server
  • Generated new Mac/PC agent installers
  • Agent install on client devices
  • Console tutorial
  • Created software deployment point
  • Package generation (Bomgar, FM Pro, UTBackup) and tutorial
