As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

Microsoft DreamSpark


Microsoft's DreamSpark is a new initiative intended to put the company's development and design software into the hands of students at no cost. The following software is available through DreamSpark:

  • Visual J# 2005
  • Visual Web 2005
  • Virtual PC

Cost & Eligibility

Software provided through DreamSpark is available at no cost to UT students. However, downloading software from the DreamSpark site requires a UT EID and a Microsoft Live ID. If you do not have a Live ID, you can sign up for one on the Windows Live ID site.

System Requirements

The system requirements for DreamSpark include a computer with a Windows operating system, a Web browser, and a high-speed Internet connection. Each software package available through DreamSpark has its own set of additional system requirements.
