Panelists will discuss their careers and offer advice on how to land a job as a public defender. Moderated by Nicole Simmons, Director of Public Service Programs, Career Services Office. This is the first of a series of meetings for 2Ls and 3Ls who will be applying for 2015-term clerkships. This meeting is geared towards students who will be applying for the most competitive appellate court clerkships, and will focus on preparation for a January/February application period

Learn strategies to manage your educational debt, including the UT Law and federal loan repayment and forgiveness programs for lawyers pursuing jobs in the government and public interest sectors. Refreshments will be served.

Refreshments on Tuesdays for Prof. Sager's Fall 2013 class

Join us Tuesday, October 8th at 7:00PM for PILA’s first Potluck of the semester. We will hear from representatives from other public interest student organizations, the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law, and the Pro Bono Program. We will also have a panel of recent UT Law grads who have turned their passion for helping people into successful legal careers.

Sign-up at 9:00 p.m. on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8 is on a first-come, first-served basis on UT Law Symplicity . Back by popular demand! Participating UT Law J.D. students will have the opportunity to network one-on-one with legal professionals from a variety of practice areas.

Representatives from the National Security Agency will provide information on the Agency mission and on the application process for their jobs and internships. Presented by the LBJ School of Public Affairs.

This is a mandatory workshop for 1Ls. If you are unable to attend the workshop scheduled for your section, you may attend another session. Please note that first-year students may receive one-on-one career counseling beginning October 15.
