Does representation stop when your client goes to jail or prison? What should defense attorneys and human rights activists know about prison conditions and the laws that inmates face when drafting grievances and writs?

The Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice invites you to an information session on human rights internships and fellowships. This is a great opportunity to learn about opportunities with human rights organizations as well as international courts and tribunals. Former fellows and interns will share their experiences and will be available to answer questions. Law school faculty and the CSO will also be on hand to discuss the logistics and merits of these opportunities. Pizza will be provided.

Join the Texas Federalist Society on Thursday at Noon to hear from 5th Cir. Senior Judge, Emilio Garza. A UT Law Alum, Judge Garza was appointed in 1991 to serve on the 5th Circuit and achieved senior status in 2012. His name was rumored to be on the short list for the US Supreme Court in 1991 and again in 2005 for the seats ultimately filled by Justice Thomas and Justice Alito.

This is the final round of the Gardere Novice Mock Trial competition. This is an advocacy competition sponsored by Gardere and facilitated by the Board of Advocates.
