Requesting Travel Assistance

UT Law students may request airline reservations in conjunction with judicial clerkship, public interest, government and/or job fair interviews. Reservations are made using the State of Texas rate. Please note that this may not always be cheaper than other rates you may find elsewhere.

Once you have completed the form below, the CSO will submit a Request for Travel Authorization (RTA) on your behalf within 48 hours. Our office manager, Victor Garcia, will send you a RTA number and Document ID via email so you may contact our travel agent directly to check on available flights and prices.

While there is no cost to check flights, there is a small non-refundable booking fee that will be your responsibility to pay once you confirm a flight. If you are interested in purchasing a ticket, you will need to give the travel agent the RTA and Document ID numbers so they can confirm your flight. You are not committed to purchase any tickets. If you change your flight once it's been confirmed, an additional charge will apply.

You must submit payment for the booking fee and airline ticket(s) no later than two weeks of completing your travel. Checks should be made payable to "The University of Texas School of Law." Please drop your check off at the CSO in TNH 3.130 or mail to:
