Pro Bono Program Fund

Harry Reasoner Pro Bono Fund

In 2009-2010, the Justice Center launched a new, school-wide Pro Bono Program.  The vision for the program is that students will engage in pro bono work to increase access to justice and develop a lifetime commitment to providing legal services to those in need.  The program is rapidly expanding, and we hope eventually to involve the entire student body in pro bono activities.

The existence of the Pro Bono Program is due to the vision and extraordinary generosity of Virginia and Richard Warren Mithoff, whose gifts have created an endowment for the program.  Mr. Mithoff, '71, a former law clerk for Judge Justice, also played a key role in the creation of the Justice Center.

The Harry Reasoner Pro Bono Fund was created through a generous gift from the Beaumont Foundation of America in honor of Harry Reasoner, '62, to support student pro bono work at the Law School.

The proceeds from the Pro Bono Program endowment, the Harry Reasoner Pro Bono Fund, and additional gifts received from Terry O. Tottenham, support all of our pro bono activities -- research, supervision, project development, travel, training, etc.

The Justice Center thanks Virginia and Richard Warren Mithoff, the Beaumont Foundation of America, and Terry O. Tottenham for their generous gifts in support of pro bono.
