The G. Rollie White Trust Fellowship in Public Interest Law

The G. Rollie White Trust  generously supports this fellowship to increase access to justice in the United States. The fellowship funds an outstanding graduating student or judicial clerk to work with a public interest legal organization on behalf of underrepresented individuals or groups.

The award is made for full-time legal work sponsored by an existing organization and supervised by a licensed attorney. The sponsoring organization must be a non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

2013-2014 Public Service Scholars Mark Dawson, '14, the inaugural G. Rollie White Trust Fellow, will work with Blue Ridge Legal Services in Harrisonburg, Virginia, providing direct representation and community education on consumer lending issues to the limited English proficient population of the Shenandoah Valley.
