Legislative Internship

The Legislative Internship Program provides unique educational opportunities for students given the Law School’s proximity to the Texas Capitol. Interns study the legislative process by working directly on law-related issues under the supervision of experienced attorneys in offices connected to the Texas Legislature. Students learn about the role of lawyers in the operations and processes of governing, build key professional skills, and gain insight into the intersection of law and policy.

The Legislative Internship is offered only during regular sessions of the Texas Legislature. The next offering will be spring 2025.
