UT Custodial Services' new OS1 cleaning program officially begins at the Law School on 10/23/2003. Following a 90-day transition period, the building occupants should notice a significant improvement in the cleanliness of the facility. However, due to Custodial funding and staff cutbacks, the previously initiated service reductions remain in force under OS1. For example, trash pickup in offices is still limited to once weekly, as noted in the WEEKLY DETAIL CLEANING schedule and map legend elow.
Daily Detail Cleaning:
Cleaning services: Floor cleaned (mop or vacuum), trash and recycle container emptied, and dusting. Areas to receive daily detail cleaning: Building entries: interior and exterior. Terraces, porches, patios, lobbies, etc. Public corridors, stairwells and elevators. Restrooms, dressing rooms, locker rooms, weight and exercise ooms. Child care areas.
Daily Trash Service:
Cleaning services: Empty trash and recycle containers . Clean chalkboards and replace chalk in classrooms. Areas to receive daily trash service: Kitchens, break rooms, work shops. Laboratories (all). Conference rooms. Classrooms and auditoriums. Library reading rooms and stack areas.
Cleaning services: Floor cleaned (mop or vacuum), trash and recycle container emptied, walls cleaned and horizontal surfaces dusted. Areas to receive weekly detail cleaning: Offices and office suites . Areas receiving Daily Trash Service (see above).
