Windows Phone Post Migration Process

Delete your old profile

  1. In the App list, tap Settings and then tap Email + accounts.
  2. Tap and hold the account you want to delete, tap Delete, and then tap Delete again.

Create your new profile

Once you have successfully removed your existing UT e-mail account from your Windows Phone, follow these steps to install your new account:

  1. In the App list, tap Settings and then tap Email + accounts.
  2. Tap Add an account > Outlook.
  3. Enter your UTEID@austin.utexas.edu and UT EID password, and then tap Sign in. If the phone finds your account settings, your email, calendar, and contacts will be synced to your phone. If not, continue to the next step.
  4. On the Outlook screen, do the following:
    • E-mail address: Verify that you entered your UTEID@austin.utexas.edu
    • Password: Tap Show password, and verify that the password is your UT EID password.
    • User name: Verify that the user name is correct. This should be your UT EID (?).
    • Domain: If prompted, type in “AUSTIN” as the domain name for your account.
  5. If the correct settings still aren't found, tap Advanced and then:
    • In the Server box, type the following server address: outlook.office365.com
    • Tap Show all settings, and then make sure that the “Server requires encrypted (SSL) connection” checkbox is checked
    • Tap Sign in
