The University of Texas School of Law, the Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and Law, and the International Committee of the Red Cross will host the third annual National Security Law Junior Faculty Workshop on Thursday, April 1, 2010 (in the Eidman Jury Room), and on Friday, April 2, 2010 (in the LBJ Library Brown Room).
The National Security Law Junior Faculty Workshop is an articles workshop that includes the presentation and discussion of works-in-progress on a range of national security law topics. Participants will discuss cutting-edge issues in International Humanitarian Law with instructors from the International Committee of the Red Cross and the U.S. Army JAG School.
As in years past, the format intersperses the workshop sessions with the IHL training/discussion sessions. The workshop sessions are in a discussion format, with a relatively brief presentation of the paper by someone other than the author, followed by extensive Q&A among all attendees.
The Friday, April 2, session is open to all faculty and students. If you plan to attend, please contact Professor Bobby Chesney by e-mail or call him at 512-232-1298.
