LBJ School Alumni Board
Purpose and Membership
The Alumni Board (the “Board”) serves as a governance, management, and advisory board for alumni affairs at the LBJ School. Members serve as active ambassadors of the School to fellow alumni, future and current students, colleagues, and friends, actively promoting opportunities for alumni to develop and maintain meaningful connections. The Board supports the School by building relationships among the LBJ School community; supporting and enriching the student experience through opportunities for professional growth and the annual fund, and promoting excellence within the School and among its alumni.
Membership on the Alumni Board is open to alumni of the LBJ School of Public Affairs. An annual call for nominations will be sent to alumni and the broader LBJ School community.
The Strategic Plan was approved by the LBJ School Alumni Board on April 12, 2014.
Application for Alumni Board
Consider joining the Alumni Board. If you have questions about serving as a board member or have questions concerning the application, please contact the Alumni Affairs Office.
Meetings are open to all alumni and friends of the LBJ School. Twice annual meetings of the full Alumni Board are held at the LBJ School, unless otherwise noted.
A spring meeting is held in conjunction with the Alumni Reunion Weekend activities.
Board Member Responsibilities
Service on the alumni board of directors is a valuable way in which graduates give back to the School. Board members assume these responsibilities as part of board service.
Board members participate in one or more committee.
