SSH

What is SSH?

SSH is a program used to log in to other computers, such as a Unix, NT, or OpenVMS host computer, remotely on the Internet. It generally emulates a VT100 terminal and SSH (Secure Shell) enables protected connections to hosts. For example, you can log in to a computer at UT to write a C program or modify your Web pages. You can also use SSH to connect to library catalogs, the Texas State Job Bank, and thousands of other computers.

The following SSH Client programs are available on BevoWare.

MacSSH (Mac OS 8.6-9.x)
JellyfiSSH (Mac OS X)

Windows
SSH Secure Shell
Putty
