Visitors with Disabilities

Business Hours Parking

7:30 a.m. - 5:45 p.m., Monday - Friday

Parking is available for persons with disabilities in all garages for a fee. Those visitors with disabilities displaying the appropriately approved state plate or placard may park in any space reserved for persons with disabilities in university parking garages.

All Other Times

Unless there is a university event that requires use of a surface lot, ADA spaces in surface lots do NOT require university permits after 5:45 p.m. or on weekends and holidays. However, a disability license plate or disabled person identification placard is required at all times to park in ADA spaces. Parking is also available for persons with disabilities in all garages for a fee. During university events, a fee is also required for persons with disabilities in event surface lots.

Specialty Veterans Plates

Those displaying a specialty veteran plate ( including Disabled Veteran, Medal of Honor, Former Prisoner of War, Pearl Harbor Survivor, and Purple Heart) may park at a university meter at no charge. Vehicles displaying a Disabled Veteran plate with the disabled veteran or surviving spouse present may park in a university garage or at no charge but will need to have their entry ticket validated or contact a staffed PTS office using the intercom at one of the exits.

Departmental Arrangements

Conference coordinators and departments must arrange with PTS (Event Parking Request Form) to provide parking and transportation for event guests with disabilities if required between 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.
