The professional curriculum is structured around an integrated approach to drug therapy management. The Pharm.D. program emphasizes an integrated and problem-based approach to disease management as the core of the didactic and laboratory program of study. The capstone of the Pharm.D. program is a series of seven, six-week rotations known as the internship. Each internship course includes 40 to 50 hours per week of on-site experience supervised by practitioner faculty.
Developed with the University of Texas at El Paso and the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley, the Cooperative programs offer a six-year curriculum in which four years
of the Pharm.D. program are completed in the student's home region.
Pharm.D. Honors Program
Some Pharm.D. students look for educational stimulation and challenge beyond the
traditional professional degree curriculum. To enrich the educational experience of these outstanding students, the college
offers a Pharm.D. Honors Program.
