Research Interests

Understanding the nature of the Earth and planetary interiors as well as material sciences through direct examination of the properties of materials under high-pressure and high/low-temperature conditions, often by conducting high pressure experiments using high-pressure diamond anvil cell techniques combined with in-house and synchrotron-based facilities. Research topics include, but not limited to, mineral physic of the Earth's mantle and core, condensed matter physics, volatiles in the planetary interiors, 2D materials, clathrate hydrates, etc.
