Eric Drott
Research Interests

Eric Drott's research focuses on the intersection of music, politics, and digital media. He is the author of Music and the Elusive Revolution: Cultural Politics and Political Culture in France, 1968-1981, which examined the impact that the May 68 uprising had on musical life in the country.
Current projects include The Oxford Handbook of Protest Music, which he is co-editing with Noriko Manabe (Temple University), and a book that addresses the political economy of music streaming platforms (tentatively titled Streaming Music, Streaming Capital).
