Computational Acoustics and Electromagnetics; hp-Adaptive Finite and Boundary Element Methods; Applied Functional Analysis.  Dr. Demkowicz' research combines applied mathematics, continuum and structural mechanics and computational methods for partial differential equations with emphasis on finite element and boundary element methods.

I have supervised 18 postdocs, graduated 23 Ph.D. and 8 M.S. students. Occasionally, I also work with very motivated and mathematically oriented undergraduate students (8).
