Charles Kerans
Job Title
Research Interests

Dr. Charlie Kerans' interest in carbonate geology covers aspects of carbonate sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy. Applied aspects of carbonate reservoir characterization, outcrop analog studies, and new approaches to 3D modeling are of particular interest. Current projects include field work in Australia, West Texas, and New Mexico. Subsurface datasets include reservoirs from the Cretaceous and Jurassic of the Middle East and the Permian of West Texas. New research directions are in quantitative modeling of outcrop and subsurface data.
