Dr. McDonald-Buller's research interests include emissions inventory development, in particular the characterization of emissions from mobile sources, atmospheric chemistry, photochemical modeling, applications of satellite remote sensing data for air quality research, and urban and regional air quality issues, notably the impacts of urban development patterns on air quality and population exposure to pollution and intra- and inter- state transport of air pollutants
