Deana Erdner
Research Interests

Current research in the Erdner lab focuses on the genetics of bloom-forming algae, particularly toxic dinoflagellates. Examples of ongoing projects include:
- population genetics of toxic dinoflagellates
- cellular responses to stress in algae, including cell death
- natural mortality in unicellular algae
- variation in ribosomal gene copy number in dinoflagellates
