Research Interests

My contributions to the science of management and organizations are in two primary areas of impact.  First, I conceptualize and investigate the nature, processes, and consequences of diversity in the workplace, emphasizing the experiences of identity group members who have been discriminated against or marginalized.  Second, I study how individuals adjust to their work roles, particularly those going through disruptive (e.g., cross-cultural, disability onset) transitions.
