Comments about previous experiences working with students

I have supervised a number of undergraduate research assistants from civil engineering and computer science. Depending on interest and ability, I have worked with students anywhere from a semester up to several years -- and then continuing with MS and PhD studies. One of my former undergraduate research assistants (Michael Levin) is now a faculty member at the University of Minnesota. Many others are now working in the transportation area, in the public and private sectors. Several of the undergraduates I have supervised have written published papers in peer-reviewed journals, along with my graduate students.
