Population biology; ecological and evolutionary genetics; hybridization. Dr. Levin's research is currently focused on the function and dynamics of the breeding system in annual species of Phlox. His lab is also concerned with documenting the fitness liability of white-flowered variants through demographic studies of white- and red-flowered plants in natural Phlox habitats.
