Central European Designers in the United States between the World Wars

This project is ongoing.

I am working on a book on the impact of Central European-born designers in the United States between the two world wars. I am especially interested in researching designers' biographies and finding their works/traces in America.

Qualifications

I am looking for a student who might be willing to aid me with research for this book. A working knowledge of German would be useful but is not necessary. Good, basic research skills would be helpful, especially an understanding of genealogical research.

Project Timeline

I will be working on this project for the next two years, till the end of 2014.

I'M INTERESTED IN THIS PROJECT. WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT?

The Office of Undergraduate Research recommends that you attend an info session or advising before contacting faculty members or project contacts about research opportunities. We'll cover the steps to get involved, tips for contacting faculty, funding possibilities, and options for course credit. Once you have attended an Office of Undergraduate Research info session or spoken to an advisor, you can use the "Who to contact" details for this project to get in touch with the project leader and express your interest in getting involved.
