Degree-seeking undergraduates in good academic standing at The University of Texas at Austin are eligible to apply to the BDPs.
Students must be in at least the second semester of their freshman year to be eligible to apply. Students may not apply to a BDP during the first semester of their freshman year.
Students must plan to be enrolled at UT as a degree-seeking undergraduate for at least two semesters after the semester in which they apply to the BDP.
The BDPs are open to undergraduate students from every college and school at UT. However, because there is significant overlap in program focus and coursework, the following majors and BDP certificates may not be combined:
- Arts and Entertainment Technology majors may not pursue the Digital Arts & Media BDP.
- Design majors may not pursue the Design Strategies BDP.
- Environmental Science or Sustainability Studies majors may not pursue the Environment & Sustainability BDP.
- Public Health or Health and Society majors may not pursue the Public Health strand of the Social Inequality, Health & Policy BDP; they may, however, pursue other strands within that program.
These eligibility requirements cannot be waived.
