UT Becomes Part of National Consortium for Teaching About Asia

The NCTA, which is funded by the Freeman Foundation, is intended to encourage and facilitate teaching and learning about Asia in world history, geography, social studies, and literature courses in the public schools. Its website is located at http://www.nctasia.org/.
Since its inception NCTA has established introductory seminars for teachers in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia.
