Molly Dondero is a doctoral candidate in Sociology with specializations in Demography and International Migration. Her general research interests include immigrant incorporation, race/ethnicity, and health and educational disparities in the United States and Latin America. Her work primarily uses a framework of racial and ethnic inequality to understand the social contexts that influence the health and educational outcomes of immigrant families. Her dissertation advances an intersectional approach to the weight-related health of the Mexican-origin population. Other research projects include an analysis of schools and educational opportunities in new and established Latino destinations in the U.S.
