TIGER Lab
We are delighted to announce the re-launch of the TIGER Lab
BACKGROUND
In 2009 we established the TIGER Lab (Terrorism, Insurgencies and Guerrillas in Education and Research) at within the Government department at UT. Student-oriented and student-run, TIGER provided research experience and training, offered mentoring positions, and filled a gap in the university’s research infrastructure. TIGER served as a valuable resource for students, scholars and policy makers as a location to identify, receive training and facilitate academic research and policy papers.
In 2011, as a result of budgetary problems we had to freeze our activities.
NEW CONFIGURATION
While the structure of the Lab and our research protocols will rely on the models that we have developed over the years, the reconfigured lab will offer a broader scope of research agendas with special emphasis on the Middle East.
We will cultivate ties with similar research centers around the world.
We will construct a website which would provide researchers and students from around the world access to unbiased and detailed information on security related issues.
