The Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies will present four feature films on campus in collaboration with the Austin Jewish Film Festival this winter. Screenings are free and open to the public.

Each year the center showcases a variety of selections to highlight the diverse themes in Jewish film. This year’s four films — David Amram: The First 80 Years, Restoration, Intimate Grammar, and The Names of Love — range in genre from documentary to drama to comedy, and in nationality from American to Israeli to French.

In addition to the center’s free screenings, the 2011 Austin Jewish Film Festival will showcase each this March. The center has shown films in collaboration for five years now with AJFF, which reaches its tenth anniversary this year.

Showings begin Jan. 31 with David Amram: The First 80 Years and run daily until Feb. 2. Click here for a complete schedule or here for descriptions of the films.
