The Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS) will host the next 2011-2012 CMAS Faculty Research Pláticas on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
"Who Gets to be an American Doctor: the Case of Latino Texas, 1900-1960", John Mckiernan-Gonzalez, Assistant Professor, Department of History.
"The Making and Remaking of the Mestiza: New Tribalism in the Work of Gloria Anzaldúa", Domino R. Perez, Associate Professor, Department of English and Center for Mexican American Studies.
The 2011-2012 CMAS Faculty Research Pláticas are presented by CMAS faculty affiliates who were awarded a CMAS Faculty Research Fellowship during the 2010-2011 academic year.
