CMAS Announces Pláticas by 2011-2012 Carlos E. Castañeda Postdoctoral Fellows

Robb Hernandez, a CMAS Carlos E. Castañeda Postdoctoral Fellow in Mexican American Studies for the 2011-2012 academic year, will discuss his current research. Dr. Hernandez holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in American Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park. The title of this plática is "Buried and Unseen: The Queer Remains of the Chicano Art Movement."

This plática will take place on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 12 Noon in Meeting Room 1.106 of the Student Activity Center (SAC) at The University of Texas at Austin.

Stacy I. Macías, a CMAS Carlos E. Castañeda Postdoctoral Fellow in Mexican American Studies for the 2011-2012 academic year, will discuss her current research. Dr. Macías holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Women's Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. The title of this plática is to be announced.

This plática will take place on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 12 Noon in Meeting Room 1.106 of the Student Activity Center (SAC) at The University of Texas at Austin.
