2014 Departmental Student Awards Announced
Paul Holloway, Christine Bonthius, and Tim Murray recognized by the Department of Geography and the Environment

The Department of Geography and the Environment is pleased to announce the recognition of one undergraduate and two graduate students for the 2014 Departmental Awards. The award recipients are chosen by the faculty, and will have their names listed on the department plaque and website, as well as receive a monetary award.
Paul Holloway received the 2014 Achievement Award for recognition for excellence in research, publication, and institution building, as well as the Leadership Award, for recognition of leadership in departmental activities and serving as GAGE president.
Christine Bonthius received the 2014 Teaching Award, for recognition of excellence in teaching based on student evaluations and faculty recommendations. Christine served as the TA for 304E in Fall 2013 and 339K/373K in the Spring 2014 semester.
Tim Murray received the 2014 Undergraduate Award, based on a combination of academic excellence and leadership. Tim Murray served as the Communications Director for the Geography Society during the 2013-2014 academic year, and was also selected for a prestigious internship with the National Geographic Society.
