Biography

Blake is a doctoral student, studying the history of people, ideas, and commodities moving across the Americas. His dissertation explores the development of tourism in the Caribbean – from Florida to the Panama Canal – during the 20th- and 21st-centuries.

Blake has published his work in several journals and has received fellowships from the Fulbright Program and the Smithsonian. At UT-Austin, his advisor is Frank Guridy.
